Kurt Vanbelleghem (Belgium, 1968) is a curator, critic and publisher with a strong focus on contemporary art and design. Trained in Psychological Sciences and Art History at the University of Ghent and in Visual Arts Administration at the Royal College of Art in London, he has developed a career that bridges curatorial practice, education, and strategic consultancy. Through his platform PresentFuture, he advises artists, institutions and cultural organizations on curatorial, strategic and digital trajectories, fostering crossovers between artistic, scientific and technological disciplines.
Alongside his curatorial practice, Vanbelleghem has been deeply engaged in higher art education, developing new programs, leading international collaborations and mentoring artists at different stages of their careers. As alumni curator at Sint Lucas Antwerp, he supports graduates in positioning their practices within the international field, while also serving as advisor to art schools and cultural institutions across Europe and beyond. His work in education emphasizes innovation, critical reflection and the creation of sustainable pathways for future generations of artists and designers.
