INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS (2026/2027 ACADEMIC YEAR)
Preparatory courses are offered to help students prepare for creative entrance competition (Composition) and to ensure high-quality preparation for the External Independent Testing (NMT/ZNO). The programme is delivered in distance and blended learning formats (subject to change).
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, allowing students to join at any stage of the course. Preparatory courses are open to final-year school students, as well as students from colleges, lyceums, technical schools, and graduates of previous years with completed secondary education.

The specific materials and art supplies required for the “Composition” classes depend on the chosen specialisation and will be recommended directly by the lecturers.
The Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts owns a dormitory building of apartment-type design.
The building was constructed in 1975. It is a 5-story block-type brick building with a capacity of 339 beds.
The condition of the building is satisfactory for student accommodation and fully complies with all fire safety regulations. Regular health, safety, and hygiene inspections are conducted, including routine pest control and disinfection.
Each floor is equipped with kitchen facilities with gas stoves. A contract is in place for the safe operation of the dormitory’s gas equipment.
The blocks are equipped with bathrooms. The dormitory also has shower rooms (separate for men and women). Living rooms are furnished with beds, wardrobes, bedding and Internet access.
