HudpromArt's mission is to promote knowledge about Ukrainian art, particularly the heritage and achievements of the KSADA artistic community that reflect timeless human values. The Art Centre is dedicated to scientific research, museum and exhibition activities, and professional collection management.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the HudpromArt Centre has been making significant efforts to consolidate the KSADA community in order to provide cultural resistance, as well as to preserve and further develop Ukrainian art.

The Art Centre is located at 8 Mystetstv Street in Kharkiv, in a historic building constructed in 1913, which is an architectural and urban planning monument. It features almost 100% authentic facades and interiors. By combining historical authenticity with modern technologies, the functions of an archive and museum with contemporary exhibition approaches, and a rich program of activities across all its spaces, HudpromArt Centre creates unique content for both local and international visitors.

HudpromArt Centre is a structural unit of the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. The main areas of work include:

  • planning, organising, and coordinating creative and cultural projects;
  • managing public communication and monitoring external cultural processes to integrate KSADA into the European context;
  • managing, preserving, researching, and promoting the Academy’s heritage collections;
  • managing photo and video archives, as well as documenting the activities of the HudpromArt Centre;
  • developing and providing academic support for the permanent museum exhibition and organising thematic and temporary exhibitions;
  • promoting and researching existing collections (“The 4th Block”, KSADA methodological fund) and developing new ones, including collections of graphics and photography;
  • managing the KSADA website (ksada.org) and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Telegram);
  • providing space for student experiments and research activities;
  • participating in grant programmes, established (“The 4th Block”, ArtStreetFest) and emerging art events, as well as in the festival movement (including the international “Night of Museums” event);
  • establishing partnerships with art and cultural institutions;
  • organising cultural and educational activities for students, staff, and faculty of KSADA, as well as coordinating extracurricular artistic events;
  • promoting innovation in cultural and leisure activities for students.
