Faculty of Design
In the early 1960s, when design organisations began to be established across the former Soviet Union through state-directed initiatives, the Kharkiv Art Institute was reorganised into the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute in 1962. At the same time, the first design specialisations were introduced within the newly established Faculty of Industrial Art.
