
The International Students Department of the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts began its work in 1989. Over the years, the Department has trained more than 1 000 specialists from various countries, including China, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Congo, Cameroon, Slovakia, Vietnam, Morocco, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ecuador, Nigeria, and the Baltic states, with the majority of students coming from China.
Foreign citizens may apply to the Academy to obtain Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), and Doctor of Arts degrees in the following specialties (national classification codes):

Admission of foreign students to universities can take place in person and/or remotely.
To enrol, an international applicant must obtain an Invitation for Study. In order to obtain one, the applicant creates a digital account in the Ukrainian State Admission System for International Students and submits a digital application.
The applicant must attach digital copies of the following documents via the Unified System:
Educational documents must be certified (legalised or apostilled) in the country of issuance prior to enrolment at the Academy (except for documents issued in Ukraine) and must be accompanied by a certified Ukrainian translation.
After receiving the digital invitation, applicants must submit their original educational documents along with an application for admission. Documents can be submitted either in person or, in the case of remote admission, via postal services.
Enrolment of international applicants is based on the submitted documents confirming the previously obtained level of education, as well as the results of entrance examinations in specified subjects and the language of instruction. For remote admission, identity verification and entrance examinations are conducted with mandatory video recording.
Forms of Study: Full-time and Part-time, with the possible use of distance learning technologies.

Tuition Fees for International Students:
Tuition fees are paid in Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH) according to the exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine on the day of payment, or in US Dollars (USD) to the Academy’s foreign currency account, at the applicant’s choice.
