In different parts of the world, New Year celebrations take place in their own unique ways. However, the Chinese celebrate it particularly dynamically and colourfully, with a wealth of fascinating traditions and customs filled with special energy.
The Chinese New Year is always determined by the lunar calendar, and this year it fell on February 1. Students of the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts marked the occasion with a wonderful concert. Together with students from the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture and Kharkiv I.P. Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts, they created a truly celebratory atmosphere.
The dance and musical performances left an unforgettable impression on the audience. The Rector of KSADA, Oleksandr Sobolev, the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Maryna Tokar, and the Vice-Rector for Research & Education and International Cooperation of the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, Heorhii Tokhtar, warmly congratulated everyone on the holiday.
New students have arrived at KSADA as part of the cooperation agreement between the Academy and the Xingchen Art Training Centre in Shenyang (China). A formal meeting was held between the newcomers, senior international students of KSADA, and the Academy’s Administration, during which Rector Oleksandr Sobolev welcomed the newly arrived students.
