Head of the Educational and Methodological Department

The Educational and Methodological Department is responsible for planning, organising, and monitoring the educational process, as well as supporting the professional development of the academic staff to ensure high-quality training of specialists.

The activities of the Department focus on the following areas:

  1. Organisational Activities
  • implementation of curricula across all specialities and forms of study;
  • development of academic calendars and schedules for classes and examination sessions;
  • preparation of faculties and departments for the new academic year;
  • allocation and management of teaching workload;
  • coordination of students’ academic internships and placements;
  • formation of State Examination Commissions;
  • preparation and issuance of diplomas;
  • record-keeping and timely submission of statistical reports on the educational process and the student body;
  • preparation and issuance of student ID cards;
  • provision of academic documentation forms for faculties and departments;
  • support for graduates of all degree levels in employment and cooperation with employers in relevant industries.
  1. Monitoring and Quality Control
  • continuous monitoring of compliance with academic calendars;
  • supervision of timely and proper development of planning, reporting, and educational documentation by faculties and departments;
  • monitoring the planning and fulfilment of teaching workloads by academic staff;
  • monitoring the use of the hourly teaching fund;
  • monitoring the work of the State Examination Commissions;
  • supervision of educational laboratories and classrooms;
  • monitoring students’ independent study during inter-session periods and resolution of academic arrears;
  • monitoring the effectiveness of professional development of academic staff.
  1. Planning
  • development of proposals to improve the planning and organisation of the educational process;
  • drafting professional development and internship plans for the academic staff;
  • development and implementation of sectoral standards of higher education in the field of “Design”.
  1. Reviewing, identifying, and disseminating best practices from dean’s offices and academic departments regarding the organisation of the educational process.
