On April 3, 2026, the Faculty of Audiovisual Arts, together with the Junior Academy of Design and Arts, held an intensive practical workshop titled “Creating a Viral TikTok Video: From Idea to Execution”. The event brought together more than 30 participants from Kharkiv lyceums who are interested in modern approaches to media production and digital content creation. The training was led by Master’s students from the Faculty of Audiovisual Arts, Lidiia VOKALCHUK and Andriy KAROEV, who shared practical experience in content creation and discussed effective tools for bringing creative ideas to life.
Over the course of 45 minutes, participants immersed themselves in the dynamic process of creating short videos for social media. The workshop was built on active interaction and maximum practical engagement.
Special attention was given to the so-called “TikTok secret formula” — a video structure consisting of three key elements: the hook (1–3 seconds), the action, and the unexpected finale. This specific approach helps capture and hold the viewer’s attention and increases the chances of the video appearing in recommendations.
Participants had the opportunity to try themselves in various professional roles: producer, director, cameraman, SMM specialist, and editor. The practical part was particularly engaging, as teams were given only 20 minutes to develop an idea, shoot, and edit their own video.
During the event, Anna BATIUK, Head of the Department of Audiovisual Arts, introduced the participants to the educational opportunities of the faculty, outlined current study pathways, and invited them to take part in the All-Ukrainian Audiovisual Arts Competition “ETERIA”. Future applicants were also encouraged to consider enrolling at KSADA.
The event confirmed that creativity is not only a talent, but also a skill that can and should be developed professionally.
