On April 1, 2026, the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts warmly welcomed senior school students from three schools in the city of Bohodukhiv. The event was held with the participation of the Junior Academy of Design and Arts.
During the visit, the pupils explored the Academy’s educational environment, visiting the Faculty of Fine Arts and the KSADA PRODUCTION studio at the Faculty of Audiovisual Arts and Media Technologies. The excursions allowed the participants not only to observe the educational process but also to experience the unique atmosphere of professional art education.
Olha IVASHCHENKO, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, conducted an informative tour of the faculty’s art spaces, including the graphic arts and monumental painting studios. The guests also visited the Sculpture Section workshops, where they learned about the process of creating sculptures from various materials. Natalia POSTELGA, methodologist of the “HudpromArt” Centre, introduced the school students to the Academy’s exhibition spaces. Guests viewed the solo exhibition of Antonina Anoricheva-Yeromka, as well as a poster exhibition dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Heorhiy Narbut.
The programme continued with a lecture by Oleksandr RIDNYI and Vladyslav YUDIN from the Sculpture Section, focused on contemporary sculptural practices and working with meaning in art.
The event concluded with a practical workshop on creating a hand cast. The participants worked with the cast as an artistic tool, allowing them to capture their own presence in space and reflect upon it within the creative process.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity for future applicants to get to know the Academy better, explore its educational programmes, and experience modern approaches to art education.
