We are delighted to invite you to the exhibition “THE LIGHT OF REVIVAL: Stained Glass Design for Restituted Synagogues of Ukraine” by Eugeny KOTLYAR, Professor, Head of the Department of Monumental Painting at KSADA, and Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine.

The presentation of the exhibition will take place on April 23, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Sholom-Aleichem Museum (a branch of the Museum of the History of Kyiv), located at 5 Velyka Vasylkivska St., Kyiv.

The exhibition features sketches, design projects, photographs of works, and stained glass concepts developed between 1995 and 2005. This was the most dynamic period of the revival of Jewish religious life in Ukraine, alongside the restoration and reconstruction of historic synagogue buildings returned to their communities.

The exhibition was first presented in 2023 in New York at the Walsh Family Library at Fordham University. In the following year, it was shown at the Ukrainian Institute of America (New York, 2024). It has since toured Jewish cultural centres across Ukraine (Kharkiv, Kyiv) and has now finally arrived at the Sholom-Aleichem Museum.

The exhibition will run until May 27, 2026.
