The Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, in partnership with ELIA, announces the call for applications for the UAx Abakanowicz Fellowship for the 2026–2027 academic year.

About the Programme

The fellowship programme is implemented within the UAx platform and aims to support Ukrainian students in art and design specialties, foster their professional growth and expand international cooperation.

The Programme offers:

• financial support for students;
• individual international mentorship;
• participation in the UAx community and educational events.

Selected participants will receive a scholarship (up to €2 000) and the opportunity to work with international mentors throughout the academic year.

Eligibility Criteria

The call is open to arts and design students who:

• currently reside in Ukraine and are enrolled in Ukrainian higher art education institutions; 
• will be starting their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of bachelor’s studies in September 2026;
• demonstrate at least an intermediate level of English (B1) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Application Requirements

The Application Form must be submitted in English and include:

• motivation video;
• portfolio;
• professional recommendation.

Please note that the list of mentors will not be available during the initial application stage and will be announced later.
