About the Event:
This event is part of a series of lectures on Chilean Pritzker Architecture Prize laureates, specifically Alejandro Aravena (2016 laureate) and Smiljan Radić (2026 laureate).
The lecture presents a curated selection of projects by Alejandro Aravena, whose notable achievements include the Silver Lion Award at the Venice Biennale in 2008, professorships at Harvard Graduate School of Design and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC), and serving as Director of the Venice Architecture Biennale. In 2016, together with his Elemental team, he was awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize — often described as architecture’s Nobel Prize.
His landmark works include revolutionary social housing solutions and the UC Innovation Centre, which received the RIBA International Prize as the world’s best building in 2016. Currently, he is developing the Art Mill Museum — Qatar’s new Museum of Modern Art in Doha. Alejandro Aravena is also an honorary member of the Pritzker Architecture Prize Jury.
