Today, we honour the women of Ukraine — those who prove to the world every day that tenderness and beauty can coexist with incredible strength of spirit. This holiday is symbolically celebrated on the birthday of Lesya Ukrainka, the prominent poet, playwright, and public figure whose legacy has become the personification of resilience and spiritual greatness of our nation.

The Ukrainian woman has always been a symbol of love and care, the guardian of the family. She is a mother who gives life; a wife who provides support in the most difficult times; a warrior who defends her native land; and an artist who creates beauty and inspiration.
