Milan Design Week 2026 | International Student Exhibition

INTERDEPENDENCE: Past – Present – Future

The Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts announces an internal competitive selection of student projects for participation in the international student exhibition INTERDEPENDENCE, which will take place as part of Milan Design Week – Fuorisalone 2026 at the Fabbrica del Vapore (Spazio Messina, ground floor), Milan.

 

The exhibition is organised by the Scuola del Design, Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with the ELIA network.

Exhibition Dates: April 17–26, 2026

Theme: INTERDEPENDENCE: Past – Present – Future

Eligibility:

  • Students of Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes.
  • Projects completed during the 2024–2025 or 2025–2026 academic years.
  • Individual or group projects (coursework, studio projects, workshops).
  • Up to 3 projects will be selected from the Academy.

Internal Selection Criteria:

  • Relevance to the theme and domain;
  • Strength of the concept;
  • Visual and presentation quality;
  • Clarity for an international audience;
  • Representativeness of the institution.

INTERNAL DEADLINES:

  • Submission to KSADA: by January 20, 2026
  • Internal Selection Results: by January 22, 2026

IMPORTANT TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • All materials must be submitted in English.
  • Physical prototypes:
    • maximum 40 × 40 × 40 cm;
    • no mains electricity required (battery-powered allowed);
    • will not be returned after the exhibition.
  • Videos: mandatory English subtitles for any voiceovers.

Submission Requirements (for internal selection):

  1. Project Title;
  2. Project Description (150–200 words, in English);
  3. Clear explanation of:
    1. the project’s domain;
    2. its relevance to the theme of Interdependence;
  4. 3–5 visuals (JPG or PDF);
  5. Author(s): name, programme, year of study;
  6. Supervisor / project tutor;
  7. Indication of whether a physical prototype or video is planned.
