KHARKIV LIVES AND… KEEPS FILMING!

FACULTY OF AUDIOVISUAL ARTS AND MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES ORGANISES

AN EVENT IN SUPPORT OF KHARKIV ARTISTS

On June 9, 2026, the Faculty of Audiovisual Arts and Media Technologies of the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, together with the “Cosmofilm” Film Club and with the information support of Radio “Nakypilo” and the media outlet “Lyuk“, held the second edition of “KHARKIV LIVES AND… KEEPS FILMING“, an event dedicated to supporting local audiovisual artists.

This year, the event took place in the safe and welcoming space of the “Pentagon” Art Club, located in one of Kharkiv’s historic districts. The warm atmosphere throughout the event was created by moderator Andrii TERENTIEV (founder of the “Cosmofilm” Film Club), together with welcoming speeches from First Vice-Rector of KSADA Maryna TOKAR and Dean of the Faculty of Audiovisual Arts and Media Technologies Hanna KURINNA.

The programme featured:

  • video works by young authors in the categories of “Abstract Video: Video Art” and “Story-Driven Video”;
  • the “INDUSTRIALISM” photography project by Solomiia MISHCHENKO, photographer and lecturer at KSADA;
  • a postcard collection from the “Frame of the Week” project presenting the first creative works by first-year students (supervised by Anna PYSANENKO);
  • an award ceremony for the winners of the All-Ukrainian Audiovisual Arts Competition “ETERIA” organised by KSADA.

One of the highlights of the event was a networking session with Kharkiv audiovisual arts professionals, featuring Olesia LABIK, founder and director of “Cinemuse Films”, commercial cinematographer Serhii KOVALOV, and documentary filmmaker Andrii TERENTIEV. The programme also included live performances by Kharkiv musicians Lefor, Kateryna Kvitka, and Oleksii Zakharov.

“Kharkiv Lives and… Keeps Filming” is gradually becoming a tradition. As one of the guests, Volodymyr DIAHILEV, noted: “The first time is an initiative, the second — already something more established, and the third — a real tradition“.

We express our deepest gratitude to the Organising Committee, consisting of Hanna KURINNA, Andrii TERENTIEV, Anna PYSANENKO, Sabina SOLTYS, and Polina PAVLENKO, as well as everyone who supported this important event, which confirms that Kharkiv is a living, creative city with a bright future ahead.

We look forward to the third edition of “Kharkiv Lives and… Keeps Filming” in the next academic year!
