On June 30, 2026, the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts hosted a diploma award ceremony for its Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates — the first graduating class to have completed their entire academic journey under the conditions of full-scale war.

Addressing the graduates, the Rector of the Academy, Oleksandr SOBOLIEV, said:

“Dear graduates! It is a great honour for us to present your diplomas during this difficult time of war. We are sincerely grateful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for giving us the opportunity to study and create. You chose our Academy, overcame many challenges, and today, you stand as true winners. My heartfelt congratulations to each of you on this important milestone! Glory to Ukraine! Vivat Academia!”

First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Maryna TOKAR emphasised that this was a particularly emotional occasion, as strong bonds had developed between the students and their lecturers over the years. Despite the difficult conditions of wartime, the graduates successfully completed their studies, and gained valuable knowledge and professional skills. She warmly congratulated them on this significant achievement and wished them a bright and successful future.

Vice-Rector for Research Vladyslav KUTATELADZE emphasised that all graduates are now an integral part of the large Hudprom family. He noted that the knowledge and professional competencies they had acquired would open up broad opportunities for their future careers, stressing that the Academy would always remain their home, ready to support them and take pride in their achievements.

The ceremony was attended by the Deans of the faculties, who personally congratulated the graduates, expressing pride in their accomplishments, and wishing them continued success and creative achievements.

The young designers and artists received their diplomas to loud applause from the academic staff and the heartfelt support of their families and friends. It was a memorable event that left a warm impression on everyone present.
