On June 15 and 18, 2026, the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts hosted in-person defences of diploma projects by students of the Faculty of Audiovisual Arts and Media Technologies.
Students of the “Advertising and Video Art” educational programme presented social and advertising videos, as well as trailers, reflecting both artistic experimentation and pressing social issues. Particular interest was drawn to works dedicated to the Academy’s departments and the volunteer movement in Kharkiv, which demonstrated that art can be profound, practical, and socially meaningful.
Students of the “Production and Art Curatorship” educational programme focused on production strategies ranging from film blogs and student media to theatre marketing and the gaming industry. Their diploma projects proved that a modern producer is a creator of new communication formats, capable of successfully combining art, technology, and business.
Meanwhile, students of the “Photography and Visual Practices” educational programme presented a staged art portrait series titled “Where the Light Remains”, which became a poetic and highly professional finale to this cycle of defences. The atmosphere over these two days was filled with excitement, joy, and heartfelt support.
At the conclusion of the session, the Chairman of the Examination Commission, Rector Oleksandr SOBOLIEV, congratulated the graduates on the successful defences of their diploma projects. He emphasised that their works demonstrate the readiness of young specialists to confidently enter the professional environment and contribute to the development of contemporary Ukrainian culture.
