IN-PERSON DEFENCES OF DIPLOMA PROJECTS CONTINUE AT KSADA

On June 10, 2026, the in-person defences of diploma projects continued at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Among the projects presented by students of the “Fashion Design (Footwear)” educational programme, several standout works captured special attention:

  • inclusive clothing for people with limb prostheses — an important social project aimed at improving convenience and comfort in everyday use;
  • festive attire inspired by traditional Ukrainian vytynanka (art form of papercutting), successfully combining cultural heritage with contemporary design;
  • a collection of author-designed scarves based on ancient embroidery patterns, giving new life to cultural heritage through modern forms and graphic interpretations.

In the field of Environmental Design, students presented a project demonstrating how technological innovations can create spaces that not only serve their functional purpose but also emotionally connect with people.

At the conclusion of the defence sessions, graduates were congratulated by the Chairman of the Examination Commission and Rector of the Academy, Oleksandr SOBOLIEV. He emphasised the relevance and contemporary nature of the presented projects and wished the young specialists inspiration, professional courage, and success in bringing their ideas to life.
