On April 17, 2026, the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts welcomed students from the “DZHMIL” Art Studio of the Municipal Institution “Palace of Culture and Arts” of the Vysokyi settlement territorial community). Organised with the participation of the Junior Academy of Design and Arts, the visit offered a deep immersion into the Academy’s creative and educational environment.
As part of the programme, the schoolchildren visited the Faculty of Fine Arts, where studio master Konstiantyn KRUSHEDOLSKYI gave them an informative tour of the graphics workshops. The guests also explored the sculpture section, observing the process of creating plastic forms from various materials.
Natalia POSTELGA, a methodologist of the “HudpromArt” Centre, introduced the students to the Academy’s exhibition spaces. The group visited Antonina ANORICHEVA-YEROMKA’s exhibition and the “PO KOLU” (“In a Circle“) art project, which showcased works from departmental archives alongside art pieces by students and academic staff from the “Graphics” and “Photography and Visual Practices” educational programmes. An important part of the visit was a lecture by sculpture instructor Oleksandr RIDNYI, focused on contemporary sculptural practices and working with meaning in art.
The productive day concluded with a practical workshop led by Vladyslav YUDIN on creating hand casts. Participants worked with the cast as an artistic tool — a way to capture their own presence in space and reflect upon it within the creative process.
This visit was more than just an introduction to the Academy, but also an important step for the pupils towards a conscious career choice. KSADA continues to open its doors to those who aspire to create, think critically, and shape the cultural landscape of today.
