On February 11, 2026, the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts took part in the ceremonial event “Women in Science”, held in the secure space of the Kharkiv State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Mykola Lysenko. The event was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, established by the United Nations in 2016.

The Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor TEREKHOV, attended the ceremony, congratulating the participants and emphasising the exceptional role of women in the development of science. Several female scientists received letters of appreciation from the Mayor, including KSADA representatives: Vladyslava GURDINA, PhD, Associate Professor at the Department of Textile and Fashion Design, and Anastasiia KHUDIAKOVA, PhD, Lecturer at the Department of Monumental Painting.

We sincerely congratulate our colleagues on their well-deserved awards!

The event also included a career orientation session for high school students from Kharkiv. Our Academy presented its own art zone and interactive workshops from each faculty as part of a STEM exhibition, which introduced students to the specifics of admission and studying at KSADA.
